Gary R. Matta, Attorney at Law
 Our founder, Gary R. Matta received Bachelor of Science degrees in both Business Administration (with a Finance concentration) and Government from California State University, Sacramento. While pursuing these degrees, Mr. Matta was a member of the Dean's List, the Honor Roll and the National Political Honor Society. He also participated in a number of extra curricular organizations, including acting as Vice President of the Pre-Law Fraternity. He was also Co-Chair of the ASI Legislative Affairs Committee, a Staff Writer for the university newspaper Political Affairs column, and was an Official Delegate of the National Model United Nations Committee.
While achieving academic excellence as an undergraduate, Mr. Matta obtained copious legal experience while working as a paralegal in the Sacramento area. During this time, he excelled in the drafting of motions and pleadings in Personal Injury, Family, and Taxation Law. He also worked extensively in the fields of Civil Litigation, Probate/Estate Planning and Business Law. Additionally, he excelled as a Director of Human Resources at a mid-sized corporation with 350 employees and sales of $40 million per year. Upon graduating from Sacramento State University, he was granted the McGeorge Scholar Award and Honors at Entrance and thereby attended University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
Having received his Juris Doctor and license to practice law in California, Mr. Matta effectively utilized his 10 years of legal experience and education and founded the Law Offices of Gary R. Matta in 2004. He is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the American Bar Association, Sacramento County Bar Association and a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court (Eastern District) of California and the United States Court of Appeals, 9th circuit. During his tenure as an attorney, Mr. Matta has effectively litigated a high volume of civil cases and has appeared frequently in the family courts on behalf of his clients. He has secured high dollar settlements in civil and personal injury cases, successfully negotiated tax settlements, and has been frequently called upon to set up corporations and assist corporate clients with all legal issues related to their businesses. Mr. Matta has conducted seminars on Trust Administration and graciously volunteers his services at a local legal assistance organization.

Bobby P. Luna, Law Clerk
 Bobby P. Luna joined the Law Offices of Gary R. Matta in November of 2006, as one of our newest law clerks.
Mr. Luna was born in Tulare, California, and primarily raised in Porterville, California. While in High School, Mr. Luna had such a passion for playing the trumpet, that he was ultimately selected to play his trumpet as a member of the elite United States Air Force Drum and Bugle Corp. While in the United States Air Force, Mr. Luna worked hydraulics on F-111's. Even though he truly enjoyed his time in the military, he discovered it was time to move on and acquire an education.
Mr. Luna has since acquired quite an impressive education. Mr. Luna has earned an Associates in Paralegal; a Bachelor of Science in Business; a Master of Public Policy and Administration; and a Juris Doctor. Mr. Luna recently graduated from McGeorge School of Law. He took the Bar Exam in February, 2008 and is awaiting results.
Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Luna operated a very successful legal document preparation business. He assisted numerous self-represented litigants with the preparation of various family law documents.
Mr. Luna comes to our firm with a significant amount of legal experience. Prior to operating his own business, he worked for the Sacramento Superior Court. During his 12 year tenure with the court, Mr. Luna worked as a Paralegal, a Courtroom Clerk and also as a Deputy Clerk. Mr. Luna has extensive experience in civil litigation and has drafted a number of pleadings and motions. Mr. Luna has proven to be a valuable addition to the team.

Annette E. Ferrante, Law Clerk
As the newest employee to join our firm, Ms. Ferrante is currently in her fourth year of law school and will be sitting for the California Bar
Exam in July of 2008. Ms. Ferrante'’s areas of legal expertise include all aspects of civil litigation, estate planning and administrative law. Her experience and knowledge enable her to work closely with clients and attorneys to draft a multitude of legal documents that accurately address each client’'s specific needs and wishes. Ms. Ferrante’'s “"think outside the box"” approach, incessant attention to detail and passion for vindicating the rights of others has earned her the
reputation as a strong legal advocate. Ms. Ferrante demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, both in and out of the courtroom.

As our legal secretary, Ms. Chapman has proven to be a dedicated and motivated asset to our team. She is a native of Carmichael, California and is currently in the process of pursuing her paralegal certification. Her enthusiastic interest in a legal career and the law has enabled her to obtain the copious skills necessary to provide quality service to our clients and learn even the most complicated legal aspects of the secretarial role.

Julie L. O'Reilly, Office Administrator
 Ms. O'Reilly has been a valuable contributor to the growth and success of our firm. Having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and an Associate Degree in Health Management, she worked for many years in the health care and insurance arenas. Her education has afforded her excellent communication and analytical skills. Additionally, her management background is utilized daily as she focuses on ensuring that our office is efficient, productive and provides the absolute best services to our clients at all times. Ms. O'Reilly's knowledge of and experience in the health care industry has enabled her to contribute strongly to our management of personal injury cases due to her understanding of medical terminology, billing and how injuries affect the functionality and quality of life of our clients. Her experience in the insurance arena enables her to effectively communicate with insurance agencies in personal injury matters as she understands their position on and approach to these cases.
